How do I know when my HVAC system needs maintenance?

I know it’s time for HVAC maintenance when my heating or cooling system starts making strange noises or doesn’t keep my home at the right temperature. Higher energy bills are another sign something may not be working as it should.

In the Bay Area, seasonal changes can put extra stress on my unit. If it’s been more than six months since my last service, I contact my local ac company or heating company to schedule professional HVAC maintenance.
